Attempt to access non-existent record in horizontal grid file horiz_grid_20030806.ieeer8

I would like to report that after thorough debugging we determined that there is a problem with the horiz_grid_20030806.ieeer8 file. I am not sure if it is corrupt or some other problem.The issue remained when we tried to run the same compset with the CESM 1.0.6 version in both a personal computer and a Cluster. The model will crush the the same error.If anyone ever managed to find a solution to this problem I would like to hear it. Thank you for the help you have provided until now,Beth

For the intel compiler to read binary pop input files you need to have the compiler flag  -convert big_endian set when you compile.  Is this flag set?

It was not. We set it and run the model again. The resuls were almost identical. The model crushes while initialising the ice component.The ccsm-log read as follows (I have only attached the last lines, for the full log please see the attachment): beg gridcell=         4532  end I also encountered this just now in CESM2 using the Intel compiler. Were you able to resolve this?
