Error when running SST plus 8K using CESM1_2_1

Hello, everyone!

We’re going to run a case with SST increases by 6K uniformly (or even 8K) where there is no sea ice. However, it was successfully built but failed to run.
We are using CESM1_2_1 and the composite is FC5 (air-land coupled).

****Note that we tried following methods but still failed:

(1) We closed the chemical module, then the problem showed in the boundary layer module

(2) We used the future 4k pattern from AMIP instead of uniform P4k, then it showed similar problem

(3) We removed all the sea ice except the Antarctic ice sheet

(4) We ran SST plus 4K for ~3 years successfully, then raised up to 6K, but it still failed.

We wonder if anyone has successfully run such a case like this and how?
Any suggestion would be appreciated!

Best,
Newt

You need to have the exact same names in your SST/ICE file than in the original file. It won't run otherwise. You also need the ice cover even if it is sets to zero.

Thank you! But we've already set all the names in the new file to be the same as the origin one.
