model output SST different from the prescribed

I looked at a run's prescribed SST anomalies and model output TS anomalies (ocean grids only). I noticed that they are different; the structures are largely the same, but the values have hemispheric shifts compared to the prescribed SST anomalies. I'm aware that there's a diddling procedure for prescribed SST fields, but this doesn't fully explain the displacements of spatial peaks. I have examined mutiple runs and they all look like this.

Does anyone know about this? If there's a step that CESM does this, may I know how to turn it off?
