Hi, everyone,
I have finished a simulation using FHIST for periods 1990-1994, i have checked the output of tempeature variable,
There is TSKIN in clm and TS in atm, the TS is described as the radiation temperature, but the TSKIN is also the radiation
tempeature? I am not sure their differnce, i have compare the values for one month. So the difference seems latitude&
longitudes dependent. But to my knowledge, if i select the one that can be used to compare with satellite, it should be TSKIN

I don't know the answer, but I will try to steer you in the correct direction:
1) I found the following equation in the clm technical note: 2.4. Radiative Fluxes — ctsm release-clm5.0 documentation
Maybe you can figure out whether this ends up as TSKIN if you look at the code.
2) Your plot makes me suspicious that there is a problem somewhere. Is my interpretation correct that you see no difference at all in the N. Hemisphere while you see differences everywhere in the S. Hemisphere? I would have expected the two variables to either be different or the same over land. The fact that you do not see the shapes of continents and that you see different behaviors in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres seems problematic to me.
