Errors when generating a mapping file from UGRID to SCRIP format

Hi there,

I am currently conducting an experiment related to MUSICA, using CLM5.0 to create mapping data for surface data production from the file UGRID_1km-merge-10min_HYDRO1K-merge-nomask_c130402.nc. I have encountered an error related to memory reference. The computing node I am using possesses 192GB of memory per node.

Could you suggest any methods to generate surface data from UGRID_1km-merge-10min_HYDRO1K-merge-nomask_c130402.nc using CLM5.0 without upgrading to CTSM5.2 or using a machine with more substantial memory? I have attached some relevant log files for your reference. I am using the release-CESM2.2.0, and unfortunately, I don't have acess to Glade.

Have you successfully made mapping files for this grid?

Thanks for your reply. I am using VRM tools, and according to this tutorial (Creating new Variable Resolution Mesh (google.com)), I have completed the creation of the mapping file section. Attached are some log files about that. However, in the gen_CLMsrfdata section, some temporary maps are also generated. It is in this part that an error has occurred. The attached screenshot is the output file.

Ok, sorry, I'm not familiar with the VRM tools, I don't know how they interact with the CLM tools. You could post on the high-res forum.
The fact that it can't find that mapping file maybe means that you are out of file space? Or maybe as you indicated it's a memory problem and it can't generate that file Not sure.
