How the boundary conditions affect the atmosphere?

I want to know how the boundary conditions of sea ice and sea surface temperature affect the atmosphere in CAM5(such as affecting the atmosphere through flux). I want to know if the sea surface temperature below the sea covered by sea ice also has an impact on the atmosphere? How is the flux from a grid covered by sea ice to the atmosphere calculated?

Thanks for writing HBzheng. You may find these sections in the CAM5 scientific guide useful.

9. Initial and Boundary Data — camdoc documentation section 9.2.
Hi lin, i have checked the context, so the atmosphere should be affected by boundary conditions through flux. And the flux will be calculated based on the proportional components of ocean, sea ice, and land in the grid. As long as there is an area covered by sea ice, the flux of ocean(represents the influence of sea surface temperature) below it will not be calculated. Is that correct?
