I am trying to run with my own regional 0.5*0.5 degree resolution based on the I1850CLM45CN compset, set RTM_MODE=ACTIVE.
I used the "ncks" command to clip the global rdirc file to the area I am run trying to run on
Many errors occurred when the model is actually run...

So I want to know whether the model can run over regional areas when RTM/MOSART is activate

Besides, there is one more question I would like to ask:
Are the files ROF2LND_FMAPNAME(rof2lnd flux mapping file), ROF2LND_SMAPNAME(rof2lnd state mapping file), and LND2ROF_FMAPNAME(lnd2rof flux mapping file) must be input? How can I create them? Is there have an example? (I didn't find them in https://svn-ccsm-inputdata.cgd.ucar.edu/trunk/inputdata/)

I did a search using the "Search forums" button and entering the keywords "river regional" and found a thread relevant to your question:
The main point is that you are better off turning off the river model for regional simulations and that, if you do want active rivers, then you will have to do a lot of setup that we do not support.

Thanks for your reply, slevis.
